As part of its initiative to implement newly designed driver licenses, photo identification licenses, and handgun carry permits (collectively “credentials”), the Department of Safety and Homeland Security, Driver License division is deploying new equipment to process credential transactions. New equipment includes new self-service kiosks (“kiosk”). Prior to a kiosk being placed in or on your property, a site survey is conducted. If there is a successful site survey, you will be placed on a list of kiosk partners. Each kiosk partner is required to complete a License Agreement that sets forth the understandings and obligations of the parties and the facility requirements for the kiosk.
Customers can complete a variety of driver license transactions on these self-service kiosks, including paying reinstatement fees, renewing driver licenses, change of address, and more. Deployment will continue throughout the spring.
If you have any questions, or are interested in hosting, please contact Brandon Smith by email at Brandon.L.Smith@tn.gov, or Shannon Geames by email at Shannon.geames@tn.gov.
We would welcome you as a new partner and look forward to working with you to bring services to those in your area.

The DHS Office for State and Local Law Enforcement (OSLLE) launched the Law Enforcement Resource Library, a brand-new searchable library of resources available to state, local, tribal, territorial, and campus law enforcement. The revamped guide allows for users to quickly find targeted resources by browsing through categories or using the new search bar feature, which creates a more user-friendly experience and gives faster access to DHS resources.
OSLLE is committed to ensuring every law enforcement agency - regardless of size, funding, or resources - has the tools and support necessary to carry out the work that is essential to maintaining the nation’s security. This searchable resource library highlights many of the Department's resources that are available to you, including training, grant funding opportunities, task forces, and field support, among others. The Law Enforcement Resource Library is searchable through keywords, mission areas, topic, audience, and delivery method such as a grant funding opportunity or training.
The resource library will be a living document and updated as necessary. To learn more about the resources, opportunities for collaboration, and support the Department can offer law enforcement, please contact the DHS Office for State and Local Law Enforcement at OSLLE@hq.dhs.gov.
